These are types of categorical data which describes something and their ordering holds some significance. For example – ‘Grades’ are categorical data which describes performance of a student. The possible values of Grades are – Outstanding, Excellent, Average, Satisfactory, Failed. As you can see the ordering of these values from left to right holds a significance.
